Tips for Ranking Your Site Higher
If you want your web pages to rank higher in search engine results, it would be beneficial to consider the tips in this article. Do not block a large part of your site using robots.txt: It might seem like a good idea to block some parts of your site using the robots.txt file for search engine spiders. However, if you block more than half of your site, search engine spiders may think your site is a restricted site and stop crawling your site frequently. If your site is crawled less, it will also rank lower.
Do not write bad or incorrect HTML: Most search engines cannot distinguish poorly coded pages, but if a search engine spider cannot read your page due to bad HTML, it cannot index it. You should ensure that you regularly check your HTML and that there is no situation that will affect the crawling of your site.
Do not use frames: Search engines have difficulty reading framed websites and rank them lower than unframed sites. Even if you get a good ranking, you may not get clicks because search engines don't know what to show as the title or description of your page.
Never link invisible images: Invisible images are images that are 1x1 pixel in size and cannot be seen with the naked eye on web pages. Although some links are prioritized in web page ranking, you should not link images that are intended to be seen by search engine spiders but cannot be seen by site visitors.
Do not link single-pixel images: Linking single-pixel images is the same as hiding text or showing different content to search engines and different content to site visitors. Therefore, your page may be banned. Also, do not assume that search engines cannot read CSS or HTML that alters the dimensions of full-size images.
