Sherpa Received Investment

Google Ventures Invested in Sherpa

Google Ventures is using it to support new ventures. Sherpa, an application similar to Google Now, became one of the applications supported by Google Ventures, despite having the potential to become a competitor to Google.

How Sherpa is Used

The service, which operates for WhreBerry and was founded and managed by former Google employee Bill Ferrell, works similarly to the Google Now system. The mobile version of the application does not serve everyone. Sherpa provides location-based recommendations and notifications by considering personal information and interests along with location. The application, which also has a calendrical feature, automatically provides notifications such as scheduled meetings, clothing recommendations based on weather, etc., without needing to be run. The application, which acts as a virtual assistant, is being written and developed by 6 people. The fact that this application, which received investment, has features different from Google Now may allow it to become a more prominent application than Google Now in its more advanced versions.
