Facebook Will Also Enter the Sites Using Hashtags
Hashtag was actually a special marking symbol for Twitter. Recently, Instagram, acquired by Facebook, has become a social network where hashtags are frequently used. The use of hashtags in Facebook's subsidiary raised the question of whether hashtags will also be used on Facebook.
What Will Hashtags Do on Facebook?
Hashtags are used as an important tool, especially in the search box, to find other tagged messages and follow conversations. It also makes it easier to check opinions on topics where hashtags have been used in a polling manner.
Facebook's current infrastructure is not suitable for hashtag use, but WSJ reports indicate that work is progressing in that direction. Facebook's search results currently list features such as people, communities, and interests. The addition of hashtags will mean that posts will also be listed in the search results. Hashtag use will go one step further than a subscription system, meaning users will have access to more content, thus presenting advertisements more effectively.
