AdSense and AdWords SEO Logic
Don't rely on AdSense to boost your ranking: AdSense is a way to monetize your website. However, getting AdSense ads will not damage your ranking, nor will it move your ranking up in search engines, even on Google. Using AdSense is not an issue at all in terms of website optimization, but you should not expect your ranking to change either. Do not expect your AdWords account to rank higher in normal Google search results with the fees you pay to be at the top of ad rankings. With AdWords, you can increase the number of clicks to your website, but these clicks will be in the paid search area, not the normal search area.
- Do not engage in repeated link exchanges with the same site: Search engines will look at the links on your web page and calculate the first one or two links. You should avoid giving the impression that you are paying for links.
- Do not have broken links on your site: Broken links make your site look bad and give the impression that you are not managing your site well. Search engines want to provide the highest quality search results, and therefore penalize many sites for having broken links.
- Do not violate copyright or other laws: Many search engines have the ability to ban websites that violate their rules. Copyright infringement is very common and easy to commit on the web. When something is published on the web, do not think you have the right to republish it under your own name. If search engines see that you are copying content or violating other laws, they may ban your site.
- Do not repeat content on your site: Search engines do not like constantly repeated content. This is because this repetition does not provide good information to visitors and creates unnecessary clutter on the server.
